Why use Twisted Wire Needles?

Twisted wire needles are used to thread something large like ribbon, silk, yarn, through the small hole of a bead. They are frequently used for pearl stringing, knitting and crocheting. Just thread your ribbon or other material through the large eye of the twisted needle and pull it through the bead. The twisted needle eye will collapse, allowing you to pull your stringing material through a small hole. Make sure you keep a long tail on the stringing material, as it is difficult to re-thread a twisted eye needle after the eye has narrowed.
